Do you remember being an 11 year old kid going into middle school? It is a big step up from elementary school, trying to figure out your place as a 6th grader. Will you have the same friends, is school work going to be harder, will there be new activities, what about school dances?!? Now just imagine making this transition and it being your 7th new school! For many military children this is a common occurrence and it gets harder with each move. Adapting to yet another move, another school, trying to make new friends and all during your adolescent years. Their sacrifices are significant require us all to step in and be a part of the solution.
