July 6–31 | 10:00 AM–3:00 PM | 3rd-8th grade
Get ready to dive below the surface at Full STEAM Ahead, our 2026 nautical-themed STEAM summer camp where science, technology, engineering, art, and math come together for an unforgettable summer adventure. In partnership with Adelante Center, campers will explore the wonders of water through hands-on experiments, creative challenges, and exciting water activities, all inspired by life on and below the surface.
Across two 2-week sessions (4 weeks total), campers will work together to design and build their own cardboard model boats, applying real concepts in buoyancy, engineering, and structural design. At the end of each session, select designs will be brought to life as full-size cardboard boats and launched in an exciting Cardboard Regatta race later in the summer!
Why It Matters
Full STEAM Ahead isn’t just about building boats, it’s about confidence, curiosity, and connection. While many of our campers may come from military families and may experience frequent change, this camp is designed as an inclusive space where military and civilian kids can learn and grow together.
Through hands-on challenges and teamwork, campers build problem-solving skills, resilience, and trust in their own ideas. They learn to adapt when things don’t go as planned and to support one another along the way. Whether they’re designing, testing, or racing their creations, every role matters and every camper is encouraged to explore their strengths and discover what they’re capable of.
